shoot! It’s that time of the month again. Ugh! You all know what I’m talking about. Unlike other ladies who experience little to zero physical pain, I on the other hand gets glued to the bed all day with intense cramps and nagging headache.
Not to mention the week prior to the main event where my hormones get whacked! Acting crazy and feeling shitty?! Yeah, and then the hubby gets blamed for everything.
Oh PMS you are such a b*tch! Sorry for the foul language, just pms-ing. 😆
Seriously. it sucks!
So after I finished my salad, I succumbed to my sour cream flavored LAYS and a regular coke.
p.s. to all boyfies and hubbies who want to get a little understanding on what goes inside our crazy heads when pms-ing, read here.
Lately when I think about what I’m going to wear, I always come running to all my reliable shirt dresses.
omg! I can never have too many! They’re versatile, comfy and have the classic pattern that come back every season. I love how they’re very easy to pull off and makes us totally look effortless. Perfect for summer, fall and for chasing Zoe. 💙
what are your go to anywhere outfit? and which brands are your favorites?
While I’m eternally grateful to such generous friends who took us under their roof when we moved to la, everyday, I miss our quaint little blue house. my home, my comfort zone, my bed, my white couch, my curtains even my vegetable peeler.
I always say, I want “the simple life”. And I chose to act on it, here I am living a pared down life where everything is basic, essential and just meat and potatoes. It is scary.
Starting over, away from our comfort zone is never ever easy. It’s never going to be. I know that now. And though I’m in the process of embracing change, there are still those days that I whine about it and just wanna run and fly back home.
Yes, I miss all the comforts I left behind and yes I’m being a scary cat but I’m still looking forward to building and creating a mindful, conscious and slow living for Zoe, Oliver and me, one day and one post at a time. ♥
the search for the perfect facial skin care is relentless and never ending. I’ve tried sooo many. Some too harsh, some are too gentle on my oily face. hahaaa 😂😂😂 but some have become my best friends over the years.
I’ve been currently obsessing about my new favorite, Aesop Skincare. Aesop products are 100% natural and plant based. Their scent almost medicinal, but I mean that in a good, day spa way. They are absolute love! ❤️
I love their Parsley Seed Anti-Oxidant Hydrator and Sage & Zinc Facial Hydrating Cream. And the smell? Amazing! that is if you like herbaceous and delightfully vegetal feel, then these two are totally up your alley – nothing is overly perfumey or cloying.
And most importantly, my skin loves them!!!!
So check out Aesop Skincare if you haven’t already. And tell me what you think!
you know how people are on social media 24/7 posting this and that?
the latest trend that’s sweeping and flooding your Instagram feed:
the flat lay photo – a visual display of carefully curated aesthetic in a square format. the thing I like about flat lay photos is that, not only can you show off your current favorite essentials.. neatly folded clothes, shoes, flowers, accessories, and all things pretty.
it also lets your mind do a quick jaunt to the pool of endless creative inspiration. It’s like you are your own stylist! Fun huh?! Yep! and when done right, your photos will surely look classy, simple and chic.
so who doesn’t love a good flat lay once in a while? 😅
have you ever wondered how just time passed and how your life got you where you are right now? with mine, it has always been a constant going and going until this September 2014. my life as I know it suddenly stopped.
Or so I think.
what do bloggers write about on their first entry anyway? I have no idea. I just want this journal to chronicle my daily musings, inspirations, goals, my family and so much more mixed up scattered ideas. but where do I begin?
well, for now, I’ll just leave you with my current favorite quote and hopefully pick up some audacity to come back and post some more… Ktnxbye 💙
just when the caterpillar thought the world is over, it became a butterfly.
I swore never to go to boracay during the Holy Week, when it is most congested but here we are anyways. Surprisingly it wasn’t cramped as I thought it would be.
we went with our balikbayan friends who were first timers. As expected my friends were all ooh wow Aahhh. They were all nothing compares to its sand and crystal clear water and all.
Well, what else can I say? Boracay is undeniably nothing short of stunning!
